Oktoberfest 2019 is over, but that doesn't mean you can't find another fun fest.
This coming weekend is the 40th Annual Nashville Oktoberfest in Germantown. Festivities start Thursday evening and continue through Sunday the 13th of October. And of course, the Bavarian Bierhaus will be there running the large Bier tent on Centennial Mall.
If you're still in Germany, there is one week left of Stuttgart's Cannstatter Wasen, the nation's second largest annual folk festival, which has been an annual event since 1818.
An older festival is Erlangen's Bergkirchweih, which happens every Pentecost weekend since 1755. The Nuremberg suburb grows ten-fold that weekend as it absorbs one million visitors every year. Be sure to gather some friends and take part in a new tradition there: the Kastenlauf. You carry a case of Bier and drink it all as you walk to the top of the hill to Bavaria's largest Biergarten.
More Bavarian folk festivals can be found here.
Or you can come to the Bavarian Bierhaus in Opry Mills, where it is Oktoberfest Every Day.
